TYPES OF MONITORING
The offender is called at random and asked to blow into a Breath Alcohol Tester and send his test result. The test result along with his picture is transmitted over the telephone line immediately. This type of monitoring insures that the offender is at home and sober.
A receiving unit is hooked up to the offender’s home telephone. A transmitter is attached to the offenders ankle with a band. The receiver transmits information back to the monitoring center.
Violations are reported to the assigned probation officer the next business day. Weekly reports are sent to each probation officer outlining the offender's activity.
The GPS offers conventional house arrest plus a permanent historical record of offender movement on a daily basis.
- Active Tracking : The Active Tracking System uses GPS to establish offender location and to track movements.
- Passive Tracking: The Passive Tracking Device provides passive tracking capabilities utilizing GPS.
GPS is a great way to track sex offenders, stalkers, and some of the more high risk cases. Offenders are required to report to this office to be hooked up and enrolled in the program. Please call for more information: Wanda Lee 770-436-0404
